Have you ever woken up after a big event or experience, and your consciousness reminds you “That” happened, and you know things will never be the same because it has evolved change inside you at some astronomical level?

This morning my consciousness was doing a dance, a musical perhaps, so changed by this experience on the River. I felt happiness and sadness at the same time. Sadness because this is the last day on the River, on the Raft that has been a floating home, yet happiness for all the rich experiences we have had.
We have a big rapid experience today: Lava Falls Rapid at a 10/10 and 13′ drop. This will definitely be a hang on tight rapid!
Before we reach Lava Falls, we have the opportunity to explore Tuckup Canyon adjacent to our camp. The Canyons appear to metamorphosize before our eyes with the changing sunlight and shadows. Elements and structures appear in front of us in the rock we had not noticed before. Coming out of the Canyon lends yet another different and unique perspective.

Lunch today was at Fern Glen Mile 168.5. It was HOT and we swam and doused ourselves in the river to keep comfortable and cool. We also hiked Fern Glen Canyon with more beautiful rock formations and camera eye candy. It was the best day for Canyon photos with a huge variety of rock shape, color and texture with narrow passages through the slots.

On the river it was a chance to get more scenic photos from the raft.

We ended the night with the blue moon, which appeared over camp at 4 AM.

Then it was off to sleep for an early wake-up to be ready for our trip out of the Canyon. We are in our final countdown to our hours left in this amazing place.
